Remember the movie American Beauty? Is is my life, right now. My wife is trainwreck. My daughter is distant. And her best friend fills every thought. She is in her early twenties and I am 48, so there is no crime here. But what is the most amazing thing about it is how natural it feels. We sit a lot together while my daughter is getting ready or is out of the house. Sometimes I imagine this young woman is really coming over to the house to see me. I know that isn't tru, but that is where I am at in my life. A succesful business, a loveless marriage and a school boy crush. What now? Where do I take this?
